An unusual day for a couple of exhibits at our December show. Although already receiving gundog training, on this day their owners decided to combine the day and in the morning they were at the show with 'mum' and in the afternoon went out with 'dad'!

Judge's Report (Liz White):
"This little spaniel was a star, happy, motivated and attentive, all I was
looking for. Flowed round the ring in the intense heat and made it look easy.
Many congratulations. "
And looks set to continue his winning ways. We wish him and his proud owner, Vera,
the very best of luck. Keep us posted!

Ch.Sundust Me To - Krista is the first American Cocker Sh.Ch. to qualify in
the field for over 30 yrs She was trained and handled by Pam Wadsworth.
The critque was: The american cocker was asked to do a short hunt and then
asked to retrieve a spare partridge at the top of this hill. There are not many so
called show bred dogs that can be trailed along on a cold day and then expected
to "perform" - she had been perfectly happy with the gunfire all day. At the end
of the main body of the trial she was asked to hunt the last part of the wood on
her own. There were plenty of pheasants pushed skywards as the bitch zipped
about whilst remaining in touch with her handler. Finally she was taken to a pond
and swam out and delivered to hand a partridge that had been thrown in for her.
It was a freezing cold day, so much so that Pam nearly did not make it as the
conditions on the motorway were unreal. The test was done at the Meon Valley
working spaniel club.
